Racing Review

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

To the team at BAILEY AUTOMATICS ,2010 was a productive year for Glen Jay and Zac from Ward Off Road 469, with a good first race at Yealering with a share of the points but a broken ball joint ending in a DNF.

Easter at Hyden saw the biggest national off road event ever with over 100 entries from all over Australia with the 469 crew taking out first in class at the state level and second nationally in our class.

Next we trekked to Bencubbin to pull off another win in class and add to the points tally. We missed the next race due to prior engagements and had to wait till we ventured back to Hyden in September for the last race . With a very competitive field we had to go pretty hard and our little Panterra stuck together to the end (just), to take out another first in class to finish off the year .

We were invited to the CAMS presentation night at the Ferrari show rooms in December and were presented with trophies for:

  • State Extreme 2wd Driver for 2010 Glen Ward
  • State Extreme 2wd Co Driver 2010 Zac Ward

We were happy with that as it is only our 2nd year of racing, but at our recent club presentation night we were also awarded:

  • Club Champion Extreme 2wd Driver Glen Ward
  • Equal Club Champion Extreme 2wd Co Driver Zac Ward & Jay Ward
  • Club Champion Outright Driver Glen Ward
  • Club Champion Glen Ward

So as you can see we had a very good year and would like to say thanks for your support .
